"Nothing to it, old boy! Just turn up at Hampton Court a couple of times a year and sling some technical terms at 'em at the AGM!" Thus did the previous Treasurer place the financial reins of the Guild in my hands nine years ago.
History has proved him comprehensively wrong. I am deeply, and happily, involved in Guild affairs on many fronts and at many levels. My particular financial responsibilities bring me to the surface at the Annual General Meeting when I present the Accounts but they extend, though, to monitoring throughout the year both the Guild's trading position and the wider financial picture as we move towards Manchester.
I thoroughly enjoy my multi-faceted involvement with embroidery and with the Guild. These pre-Manchester days are truly exciting!
