Lynne
Williams and Betty Roberts "manning" the
Yorkshire Branch Tombola stall
Catherine
Davies sent this photo of a tombola of embroidery-related
items which was held at the May meeting of Yorkshire
Branch. The stall raised over £60 for the new
centre in Manchester. Yorkshire Branch have been busy
in other ways too. In 2002, two B&B sales tables
of embroidery-related items and home-made cakes -
a strange mixture, but a successful one - raised a
total of £172.35. One member organised a Yorkshire
place name quiz, and sold quiz sheets at £1
each. After prizes had been awarded this raised £25.
The
Branch has also raised money through personal donations
by members who put small amounts of money into an
'Ice-Box' at each meeting. Thank you all for your
generosity and hard work!
