Ponteland Branch, which was formed in 2002, held its first Open Day and Exhibition on Monday 23rd June 2003. Among the exhibits was a picture of a fan done in silks, which was worked by Mrs Margaret Wright (above). This embroidery won first prize in the NE Regional Day competition entitled 'Silks' on Saturday 3rd May 2003.

Profits from the exhibition were donated to the fund for the new centre.
