Macclesfield Branch
Macclesfield Branch had a very busy 2002 fundraising for the Guild's new centre for embroidery in Manchester and look set to continue their brilliant campaign in 2003 with more events planned.
Margaret Miles, Macclesfield
Branch Chairman told us of the events the Branch had held last year including
day-schools on crazy patchwork and vintage cracker making (what's a vintage
cracker ? - answers to Lynn at the Guild), afternoon tea and illustrated lecture
from an intrepid Member about her journey across Mongolia and northern China.
The year ended with a Christmas Bazaar selling items made by the Branch's talented
Members. But the highlight of the year must have been the summer Garden Party
(above) which was a huge success despite the weather.
Margaret Mills says the events have brought the Branch closer together, which is lovely to hear Margaret.
Many thanks for all your hard work Macclesfied Branch.
