Congratulations to Lutterworth Branch who, despite being a very small group of just 12 Members, held a very successful Extravaganza Day on Saturday 8th November 2003 to raise funds for the new centre for embroidery. The event was held in the Wycliffe Methodist Church in Lutterworth. Various trades people were invited together with demonstrators from the world of embroidery.
There was also an exhibition of embroidery by the Members of the Lutterworth Branch. Guests enjoyed homemade cakes and coffee, followed later by homemade soup with a ploughman's lunch. Members and guests were entertained with slides from Africa presented by Roger Sleigh and the day was completed with afternoon tea. A very busy and rewarding occasion was enjoyed by all.
