On 22nd June 2004 Diana Keay, Founder of the Stow on the Wold Branch, held a Mid-Summer evening at her cottage in Lower Slaughter, Cheltenham to raise funds for the Guild's new centre. The event was enormously successful and enjoyed by over 30 people, including friends, fellow members and members from other nearby Guild branches. Diana was successful in receiving support for the event from two well-known nearby supermarkets. All credit to Diana! A selection of embroideries from Diana's personal collection were on display which delighted many of her guests who were not associated with the Embroiderers' Guild and its activities.
