Booking
Thank you to all of those of you who have sent
in your bookings forms; may I remind everyone
else that in order to ensure you are booked
onto the activity of your choice, we would urge
you to send in your forms before the closing
date of January 17th 2005.
Friday
Evening 1st April
I am now able to confirm that the social Friday
evening hinted at in the booking form is a drinks
and canapé reception in the upper gallery
of the wonderful surrounds of the Victoria Art
Gallery, which is just round the corner from
the Guildhall. The collection includes paintings
by artists who lived in the Bath area, such
as Gainsborough, Turner, Barker and Sickert.
AGM
Lecture Saturday Afternoon: ‘Two
Hands and a New Thimble’ - Textiles and
Needlework in the World of Jane Austen given
by Penelope Byrde
Understandably we have several enquiries from
Members who, though they have chosen not to
book either of the two packages available, would
like to attend the AGM meeting and this fascinating
Lecture in the afternoon.
I
am pleased to say that once the package bookings
have been processed, and I know how many seats
are available, I will be able to take bookings
for the AGM Lecture only, for which a separate
charge will be made and a ticket issued. I expect
this will be in January after the closing date.
AGM
Meeting : 11am till 1.00pm Saturday 2 April.
Just a reminder that all EG Members are
fully entitled to attend the AGM meeting, therefore
those of you who wish to attend this part of
the 2 days only do not need any ticket etc,
but an indication to me of your intention would
be appreciated in order that we can ensure your
comfort. (020 8943-1229 ext 27)
For
those of you who are attending outside the pre-purchased
packages, morning/tea coffee from 10.00am will
be available for you to purchase.
Should
you have any enquiries concerning the AGM please
contact Christine Cantello, tel. no. 020 8943-1229
